Enter AFA’s Photo Challenge to Win Colin Christian’s Red Mini-Lips!

AFA Gallery is pleased to announce that AFA has become the exclusive representative for Colin Christian’s popular Lipsex sculptures. Colin Christian has created a collection of never-before-seen unique large scale sculptures for AFA.

The original sculptures are roughly 38”W x 39”H x 10.5”D.

In celebration of the new, exclusive fiberglass Lipsex sculptures by Colin Christian, the gallery and the Artist invite fans to participate in a social media photo challenge, currently running through June 6th. Print the lips seen on AFA’s website, feature them in an original photo, and share the image on Instagram and Facebook via the tags: #LipSexArt @AFANYC @ColinChristian. One person will win a pair of mini candy apple red lips by the artist. (Please remember to keep social media platform rules and guidelines in mind.)

She’s been dubbed as “the artist who can work anywhere”, and this is especially true of Crysal Wagner’s most recent installation, “Fall”. It can be found inside the campus of University of Tennessee, 4 stories of blue cascading down the school’s Art & Architecture building. “Fall” is exactly 60 feet tall, but its flowing mesh, made of party table clothes, chicken wire, and screen printing, feels almost never ending. Hsu Tung Han’s wooden sculptures carry embellishments that resemble digital distortion. His “pixelated” figures weave contemporary and age-old artistic sensibilities. The Taiwanese artist stacks blocks of wood, whether it’s Walnut or African wax wood, and then crafts those pieces into surreal creations.

Dennis McNett, creating works under the moniker "Wolfbat," creates wild woodcarvings, sculptures, and installations A new show at Heron Arts in San Francisco, titled "Hallowolfbat," is an ornate, largescale adventure into McNett’s practice, with some of the creatures crafted for this show up to 10 feet tall. At the opening, the street was closed off and rock act High on Fire performed.
